As commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, President Biden has not only taken pages out of former President Barack Obama's playbook regarding social engineering in our nation's military but has also been writing a whole new chapter with his own radical agenda.
Last October, Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that the DoD will pay for U.S. military service members to travel for abortions--using your tax dollars.
This policy aims to circumvent a federal ban on taxpayers funding abortion services. It reflects the White House's attempt to undercut a pro-life victory last year, when the U.S. Supreme Court finally overturned Roe v. Wade...after 49 years and millions of lives in the womb lost.
President Biden has stated that he believes this pro-abortion policy incentivizes young people to enter the military. It's troubling to many veterans that leftists' solution for recruitment woes is to snuff out future talent!
What can turn the tide? Continued public awareness of the current military's social engineering misadventures--as FRC has been reporting on consistently through Washington Watch and The Washington Stand--is vital to get the U.S. military back to their founding mission.

This pro-abortion policy exposes how the Biden Department of Defense has been pushing a progressive social agenda on service members--one that is detrimental to military readiness, unit cohesion, and the ability to fight and win wars.
While mainstream media had a virtual blackout on this important story, FRC's media outlet, The Washington Stand, has offered in-depth perspective on the disturbing move.
"This policy is par for the course with this administration's love for abortion," stated Connor Semelsberger, director of federal affairs at Family Research Council, in a recent article.
He continued: "In the name of military readiness, this administration will now prioritize abortions for female employees in states that have laws protecting life--instead of providing further accommodations for female service members who want to be mothers and raise their children."
To push back, FRC is elevating experienced, principled voices--such as former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who recently joined me on FRC's Washington Watch program which is broadcast nationwide on hundreds of radio stations and as a TV program via multiple networks.
Pompeo warned: "If we forget the central thesis of what our military is designed to do, our Army, our military, our Marines will lose its capacity to wage and win our wars. We can't let that happen. That's why I'm engaged in this fight."

By bowing to leftist initiatives, the proud tradition of America's military is no longer the envy of the world.
Responding to U.S. leaders' bizarre priorities, U.S. Army Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin--FRC's executive vice president who is informing our strategies--spoke out in a national TV interview.
"If you can't say that this will help us to defeat our adversaries, to be more ready when war comes, then you shouldn't do it," said Boykin. "And that's exactly what is happening right now. They're wasting a lot of time that should be used in preparing for war."
It's going to take public pressure, persistent prayer, and particular policies to reverse these declines.
Our nation's faithful military families--including the next generation--are worth it.
