John,

We’ve made some big moves in 2023. Just last month in the special elections, we proved that when we put in the work in our communities – educating, engaging, and empowering them to make their voices heard – it pays off.

Now, it is time to make even bigger moves. The New Pennsylvania Project is expanding our operations to Philadelphia to start expanding the electorate in Pennsylvania's most populous city.

John, we are beyond excited to execute this expansion. Here in Philly, we can transform the electorate into something that is truly representative of our Commonwealth. Pitch in $10 today to help us raise the resources we need to empower Philadelphia’s historically disenfranchised and neglected communities.

Philadelphia is Pennsylvania's biggest and most populous city, but it has long been extremely underrepresented in the electorate. And this problem isn’t disappearing on its own. In 2022, Philadelphia’s vote share dropped to the lowest levels in two decades, especially in immigrant communities and communities of color.

The New Pennsylvania Project aims to not only expand the electorate in Philadelphia but also build a strong foundation of community power within neighborhoods that often get left behind. Consistent, year-round voter engagement and civic education are not happening here, but we are about to change the narrative.

In order to reach as many members of these communities as possible, we are not just finding a new base of operations for Philly, we are hiring new Philly organizers. Will you donate $10 right now to help us make these crucial hires to expand the electorate in the Commonwealth’s biggest city?

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
