Instead of passing legislation that would benefit communities, here’s what some lawmakers (and we use that term loosely) are focused on: forcing schools and teachers to out LGBTQ+ kids, banning drag shows and drag queens, forcing schools to misgender kids, enforcing bathroom bans, criminalizing gender-affirming care and arresting parents who seek it for their kids for child abuse... the list goes on.
