We know we ask you to pitch in to support our work every so often, but do you know why?

We ask because thousands of $5 donations from emails like this one helped Tammy win re-election in 2018 in a battleground state that went to Donald Trump just two years earlier.

It was $5 that helped us flip the Senate majority in 2020 and hold onto it in 2022, allowing us to pass landmark legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act to address rising costs, combat the climate crisis, and lower prescription drug prices.

And it was $5 that allowed Congress to pass Tammy’s historic Respect for Marriage Act , legislation finally protecting same-sex and interracial marriages. That’s a big deal.

We know five bucks might not seem like a lot, especially when you compare it to National Republicans’ jaw-dropping fundraising hauls. But to us, every $5 donation makes a huge difference — it’s what sustains our work to protect our Democratic majorities so we can keep making progress for working families.
