The elected officer positions are Chairman, Executive Vice Chair, National Committeeman, National Committeewoman, Vice Chair of Communications, Vice Chair of Events, Vice Chair of Finance, Vice Chair of Political Activities, and Vice Chair of Membership. A candidate for any office must be an active DCYR member in good standing for at least sixty (60) days prior to running for office.
There are special criteria for Chair, National Committeeman, and National Committeewoman. To run for those offices, the candidates must reside in the District of Columbia.

Process / Timeline:
March 17, 2023: Deadline for candidates to 'file' for candidacy by email to the Elections Committee at [email protected] with a copy to the DCYR Parliamentarian, Jonathon Hauenschild at [email protected]. Please include your name, confirmation of your Active Membership, and the position for which you plan to run for.
Mid-March 2023: Candidates running for executive board elections will have the opportunity to do so at the March membership meeting. Nominations from the floor will also be made from the floor for those who did not file by the March 14th deadline.
Late March 2023: Date and location will be announced soon. As per the Bylaws, all elections will be conducted by secret ballot. Only Active/ Full Members registered prior to February 28th, 2023 will be permitted to vote.
