Hello Friend,
I help lead the membership services team at the PETA Foundation. January is a critically important month for us—and all of PETA's work for animals—as it lays the foundation for everything that we hope to achieve during the year ahead.
We're aiming to have 30,000 members confirm their support before January 30—that's less than a week from now! But when I checked our records this morning, your name wasn't on the list yet.
I've been working with PETA donors for more than 20 years, and during that time, I've heard so many heartbreaking stories of abuse and neglect. Sheep are punched and kicked before being violently shorn for wool. Dogs are left chained outside without shelter from the freezing cold—and some of them die there, lonely and afraid. Rabbits are kept in laboratories where experimenters drip drain cleaner and other substances into their eyes.
But the thing that's kept me around for over two decades—what inspires me most—is getting to see firsthand how PETA supporters like you make a tremendous difference for animals.
Your support gives PETA fieldworkers the resources that they need to deliver custom-built doghouses to lonely "outside dogs," providing them with some protection from winter's deadly chill.
Your support funds the PETA investigators who expose—and help stop—horrific abuse on farms and in slaughterhouses.
Your support powers the PETA campaigners who target companies that experiment on and torture rabbits, monkeys, and other animals.
Together, PETA members are changing lives and making the world a kinder place for all beings. PETA has big plans for 2020, but it needs your support this year.
It's not too late to renew your membership! Will you make a special gift to PETA right now and help make 2020 a landmark year for animals?
Sincerely,
Cindy Kent
