John, meet Benny.
He’s the committee cat in South Philly’s Ward 39A! Helen and our team had the distinct pleasure of meeting him a week ago at one of our petition parties.
In a house packed with supporters, Benny couldn’t help himself and immediately decided to learn more about Helen.
Here’s a totally-not-staged photo of him reading up on our campaign. Benny thought Helen’s plan to keep libraries open seven days a week was very purr-suasive!
Isn’t he so adorable?! As a cat person myself, I may or may not be a bit biased – this feels like a purr-fect endorsement to me. My cat, Deacon, has so far refused to pose with our campaign materials as gracefully as Benny did (sigh).
Thanks to your support though (and Benny’s paws-itively spectacular modeling), we gathered enough signatures to get Helen on the ballot. That has us feline pretty good, but we need to step it up with only 64 days left until the primary.
If you’re as paws-itive as Benny is that Helen should be Philadelphia’s next Mayor, will you support our campaign and help us raise $15,000 before our mid-month deadline this Friday?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your contribution will go through immediately:
Consistent contributions from grassroots donors help us plan for the weeks ahead — giving us the resources we need to talk to Philadelphians and get out the vote for Helen, neighborhood by neighborhood, block by block. From pens and clipboards, to campaign signs and ads, we rely on supporters like you chipping in what you can to fight for the safe, thriving city we deserve.
Can you pitch in right now before our mid-month deadline this Friday to the only Benny-endorsed candidate in this race? It would be a cat-astrophe if we fell short of our $15,000 goal!
We’re so fur-tunate to have your support, John.
