Dear Friends,
I am happy to announce that my office is now accepting requests for Community Project Funding through the annual appropriations process for fiscal year 2024. On my website, you will find a resource guide with an overview of the appropriations process, the Community Project Funding process, and eligibility criteria. More information is available here.
As your Representative, I intend to fight for the priorities that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of Southwest Connecticut residents, and I want to hear from you directly about what those should be. Projects should fill a need in the community, be administered by local government or eligible nonprofit leadership, and enjoy significant community support.
I’m proud to have secured more than $36 million for 24 projects through this process over the last two years. My office worked closely with several community leaders and local officials to identify funding needs across the district and how we could make these crucial projects a reality. The final funding was an investment not only in our state’s infrastructure, but also in our women owned businesses, our recovering veterans, our district’s working families, our schoolchildren, and so much more. If you want to learn more about the funding I secured for community projects last year, you can read about them here.
If you are interested in offering a Community Project Funding request for my consideration, please review my FY2024 Community Project Funding Guide and submit completed application requests to [email protected] by March 16th, 2023 at 11:59pm ET.
Thank you again for your interest in this year's Community Project Funding process. I look forward to working with you to bring vital federal resources to Connecticut’s Fourth Congressional District.
Sincerely,
Jim
