Here’s what to expect in court this week.
Today, the response to failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake’s petition asking the Arizona Supreme Court to take up her election contest is due. Additionally, amicus briefs are due on Thursday. On March 21, the court is expected to decide whether to hear Lake’s contest. [link removed]
Tomorrow, the newly Republican North Carolina Supreme Court will rehear Harper v. Hall, the partisan gerrymandering case that led directly to the pending landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Moore v. On Wednesday, the North Carolina Supreme Court will rehear Holmes v. Moore, a case that struck down a restrictive photo ID to vote law.
