If you are a long-time Porter Supporter (thank you!), then you’ve probably heard me say that Congress is about as popular as a cockroach. Well, that is literally true. Just take a look at this headline:
This isn’t a new feeling, either—that headline is actually from 2013! But I know those feelings still hold true today. I hear it from my constituents during town halls, from Porter Supporters across the country, and from my own family when they question me about rising egg prices and unchecked corporate greed.
I’m running for the U.S. Senate to be a warrior for the families who are being left behind by the bought-and-paid-for politicians whose campaigns are funded by corporate PACs and federal lobbyists. If you’re ready to send a single working mom (who has never taken a dime from corporate PACs!) to the Senate, please chip in $5 today.
I can’t blame anyone for not trusting Congress. Just look at George Santos—who lied to get elected and can’t seem to stop lying. Or at the extremist Republicans whose demands kept Congress without a Speaker for a week.
I work for the people who don’t have millions of dollars to buy a vote in Congress. Folks who have to sit down at the kitchen table and budget out their meals, childcare, and medical costs, like I do with my kids. Folks who chip in $3 or $10 at a time towards campaigns like ours, because they believe in our mission and vision for a better future.
