This is URGENT, friend. Unfortunately, overturning Roe v. Wade and passing laws banning abortion in more than a dozen states was just the beginning for GOP extremists who are hell-bent on eliminating our right to choose what to do with our bodies. 

Next up is an attempt to force a nationwide ban on mifepristone – a medication that is necessary for more than half of all abortions in the country. This ban would even apply in states where abortion is legal and protected under state law!

This news is infuriating and terrifying, but I hope you also find it motivating. It's a reminder to all of us that the battle for reproductive rights is far from over, and we cannot let up now. The hard truth is this: With a conservative supermajority on the Supreme Court and the House of Representatives in GOP hands, the Senate is our last line of defense for reproductive freedom. We must pass legislation that will protect abortion access under federal law.
