Democrats' agenda in Olympia makes no sense. While Washington state students are still recovering from pandemic learning losses, they are pushing SB 5054 to reduce school hours by 4 hours PER WEEK! 

This legislation will only serve to further harm the educational outcomes of children all across our state. If there is anything the failing student scores in 2021 and 2022 showed us, it is that our students need more time in the classrom - not less. 

SB 5054 has already passed on a party line vote in the Senate and is scheduled for a hearing at 4PM on Tuesday in the House Education committee. Sign in now to get your CON position on the official legislative record!
