John, A Grand Jury in Fulton County, Georgia that investigated Trump and his allies' interference in the 2020 Election has recommended multiple indictments. It’s not clear at this time whether or not Trump will be indicted. But what is clear is this: If Trump is indicted, his allies will go into overdrive smearing the Grand Jury, making up sham investigations, and doing everything they can to stop Trump from facing justice. We need to show that the American people demand that Trump to be held accountable and that we will continue to fight back against attacks on our freedom to vote. We condemn politically-motivated sham investigations by House Republicans, and any attempts to shield Trump from facing justice. Trump’s allies are spread throughout the country, and they will do whatever they can to dismantle our freedoms. As it stands, Trump is disqualified from running for office again under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment for inciting the violent insurrection on January 6th, a direct result of his efforts in Georgia and elsewhere to overturn the 2020 election. Local, state, and national elected officials have a responsibility to protect our democracy. They must pass legislation to defend our freedom to vote and protect election officials, as well as bar Trump from the ballot for violating his oath of office.
