Q: What is Blue Senate?
Blue Senate was founded by U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley to elect Battleground Senate candidates. Thanks to supporters like you, we flipped the Senate for Democrats in 2020, expanded our majority in 2022, and are now working to defend our majority in 2024.
Q: What makes Blue Senate different from other political groups?
Blue Senate is a different kind of PAC. Unlike super PACs and dark money groups, Blue Senate raises grassroots dollars directly into Democratic candidate’s campaigns.
This is especially helpful for lesser-known candidates that don’t have the fame or fundraising networks but can win if they get the resources they need.
Q: What races are Blue Senate targeting?
Right now, we’re working to re-elect Senators Jon Tester (MT), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Jacky Rosen (NV), Sherrod Brown (OH), and Bob Casey (PA). All of these Democrats are running in red-leaning or toss-up states. If Republicans defeat any of these Senators, they could take over the US Senate and put all of our hard-earned progress at risk.
Q: Why is my contribution so important?
Blue Senate is powered by regular folks chipping in a few dollars at a time. $5 might not seem like much, but when thousands of people give what they can, it really adds up to something extraordinary.
The GOP spent hundreds of millions trying to flip the Senate in 2022. But thanks to supporters like you, we were able to overcome Republicans’ dark money machine and expand our majority.
We’ve proven that we can win tough races when we work together, but defending our majority in 2024 will be our hardest test yet.
