Last night, the contrasts couldn't have been clearer—Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren represent the bold, transformative leadership the Democratic Party is thirsting for. The assemblage of governors and House veterans on stage arguing against fundamental change in the U.S. reminded me a lot of our opponent.

I'm running for the House of Representatives because, like our progressive champions on that stage, I want Medicare-for-All, the Green New Deal, living wages for all, and student debt relief and free public college. Our fight is today. And San Francisco's representative - the most powerful Democrat in the country - is on the sidelines.
