John,

Ever since I announced I wasn’t going to run for the open Senate seat in California, I’ve had a lot of people reaching out wanting to know why. Here is what I told them…

First, I am incredibly proud to represent the Central Valley in Congress. I was born and raised here and I absolutely love working to better my community. Lillian also just turned 1 on Wednesday and it’s incredibly personal to me that we build a place where she can be healthy, safe and get the best education possible.

And secondly, I know the best way to protect our democracy is by staying right here in my toss-up seat and keeping it blue. We have to win back the House, and the only way we do that is by holding this seat.

So I made the decision to run for my vulnerable House seat again this year and now I’m counting on you for your support. Can you please rush in a donation right now to help me build another winning campaign? [[link removed]]

Our journey continues! Thank you for being a part of this.

- Josh
