Per POLITICO: “A majority of Americans want the Senate to convict and remove President Donald Trump from office, according to a new poll conducted by CNN.
“Fifty-one percent of respondents to the poll want the Senate to convict Trump on the impeachment charges brought by the House, which would lead to his immediate expulsion from office. Meanwhile, 45 percent of respondents said they don’t want to see the president removed.”
“The latest poll also suggests Americans are largely invested in the impeachment proceedings, with 74 percent of respondents saying they are either very closely or somewhat closely following the developments.
“The majority of respondents to CNN’s survey said they want the Senate to hear from more witnesses, with 69 percent wanting the Senate to hear fresh testimony, and only 29 percent rejecting the idea.”
But Mitch McConnell continues to obstruct ANY chance we have of a fair trial because he knows if the American people hear the truth, support will further shift away from Trump, and his chances of losing his majority will only increase.
