Fox News pushed deadly lies about the pandemic in which over 1.13 million Americans have died since 2020.
They pushed a Big Lie about the 2020 election that undermined the foundation of our democracy and got people killed in a deadly insurrection.
And for the past week, Tucker Carlson has broadcasted selectively-edited Capitol security footage that Speaker Kevin McCarthy released to him exclusively to push more lies about the deadly Capitol insurrection.
Last week on his Fox show, Tucker portrayed the so-called “QAnon Shaman” as the victim of political persecution:
“All we know is what we see on the tape, and no one disputes it. We didn’t cherry-pick it, we didn’t make it up...the LIARS on the January 6th Committee and the prosecutors who did their bidding - and that means Bennie Thompson, that means Adam Schiff, that means Liz Cheney...these people have this man’s life on their hands.”
There’s one reason that Fox executives, producers, and hosts like Carlson continue to push false and misleading information: Money.
As Trump pushes his base to more far-right sources like Newsmax and OAN, Fox has to compete by pushing more sensationalized and downright false information.
We have to fight back. We have to hold them accountable. We have to elect Adam to the Senate — so he can take on Trump and MAGA extremists’ most egregious enablers and ensure truth, justice, and our democracy prevail over this coordinated right-wing narrative, once and for all.
