Friend: Elected officials are reintroducing the Sunshine Protection Act. The bill passed the Senate last year with unanimous consent but stalled in the House.

This act would permanently extend daylight saving time – meaning later sunsets in the winter months and more sunshine year-round. Sounds pretty good, right?

Numerous states have already passed legislation calling for permanent daylight saving time, and others are considering similar bills.
