John,
Did you see Jon Stewart’s interview with far-right Oklahoma State Senator Nathan Dahm this week? I’m sharing the link here if you missed it, because Stewart makes a salient point for our times: If lawmakers want to protect our children, they have to address their number one cause of death in the U.S.: Firearms. Senator Dahm is one of far too many misguided lawmakers pushing a deadly agenda to loosen gun laws in their state – which ultimately makes us all less safe. The hypocrisy is enraging and I know you agree. This interview has gotten people’s attention and while we’re talking about this epidemic, I’m asking you to take the next step in addressing the mounting gun violence in our country:
Watch Jon Stewart’s interview and support Brady in our fight to end the gun violence epidemic. >> [[link removed]]
The heinous truth is that gun violence has become the leading cause of death for children and teens in this country and lawmakers are ignoring it. Instead of protecting children, lawmakers like Senator Dahm are fighting to loosen gun laws and push an extreme Second Amendment agenda. The stakes are incredibly high, John, that’s why I’m asking you to support Brady’s fight to end gun violence today.
We don’t need more guns and we certainly don’t need weaker gun laws – what we need is to support proven solutions: Expanding background checks, stopping permitless carry, funding and reforming the ATF, and banning assault weapons. That’s what Brady is fighting for on the state and national level. But progress is only going to happen with support from advocates like you, John.
So please, will you donate to Brady today and help us push for policies that will save lives? [[link removed]]
