URGENT: TELL THE SENATE TO CONFIRM JUDICIAL NOMINEES NOW
Federal judicial nominees are waiting to be confirmed by the Senate. President Biden’s nominees for lifetime judgeships are mostly women, mostly people of color, and mostly public-interest lawyers, unlike any other president. But we need the Senate to confirm them.
Confirming these judges is critical to ensuring that environmental policies are protected and voting rights laws are upheld. This could be the difference between protecting people and the planet versus corporate power and pollution.
Will you sign the petition to make sure that pro-democracy, pro-environment judges are confirmed without further delay?

President Biden continues to pick exceptional judicial nominees, with dozens of nominations having advanced out of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Now, if we want to continue to take our courts back after Trump’s extremist overhaul of the bench and ensure equal justice for all, our senators must confirm these nominees and prioritize filling every other vacancy on the federal bench.
Biden’s nominees have demonstrated a deep commitment to equity and justice throughout their careers. Many of his nominees are workers’ rights lawyers, abortion rights lawyers, and voting rights lawyers, and a majority are women and people of color who will bring crucial representation to majority white, corporate courts.
As the Senate settles into the new Congress, and the Committee holds hearings for brand-new nominees, they should also ensure that nominees reported to the full Senate are confirmed expeditiously. Filling every vacancy on the federal bench with personally and professionally diverse judges with demonstrated commitment to civil rights, social justice, and environmental justice must be a priority.
We've partnered with organizations that share this goal — Daily Kos, Demand Justice, OD Action, Demand Progress, and Democratic Values PAC — to send this message to the Senate: Quickly confirm President Biden’s judicial nominees and continue to fill all judicial vacancies.
Onward,
