Not only is this a terrible bill because it threatens doctors with jail time for performing an abortion, but it’s actually a lie because it’s already considered a homicide in all 50 states to kill a baby after it’s been born alive!

This is all a political stunt! Will you please sign this petition and tell Republicans to stop playing politics with our reproductive rights?

Unfortunately, we didn’t have the votes to stop this from passing in the House, but thankfully it won’t be going anywhere in the Senate - at least while Democrats remain in control.

But this just underscores how close Republicans are to passing the most restrictive abortion laws we’ve ever seen now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade.

We have to keep fighting to make abortion legal in every state and stop these extremists from passing any more laws that make it harder for women to get the reproductive care they need!
