Earlier this week the St. Louis Post-Dispatcheditorial urged leaders in the Republican party to follow Governor Hogan’s message of ensuring the party moves past Trump and moves back to focusing on core conservative issues.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch editorial, “Hogan’s advice is worth heeding. Republicans of good faith must coalesce around one reasonable Trump alternative rather than risk fragmenting the non-MAGA vote among multiple moderates…It’s urgent for the sake of both the party and the country that some Hogan-like hero arise.”
Governor Hogan also recently discussed his vision for the party with David Drucker on The Dispatch podcast.
We must move on from Donald Trump. There are several competent Republican leaders who have the potential to step up and lead. But the stakes are too high for me to risk being part of another multicar pileup that could potentially help Trump recapture the nomination. pic.twitter.com/cPwne4OKDu

Some say this Republican Party is a relic of the past, but I disagree. In Maryland over the last eight years, we have earned overwhelming support not just from Republicans and independents but also from Reagan Democrats and Black, Hispanic and Asian voters. pic.twitter.com/TwmFQM5QPi
