The Lower Energy Costs Act
For over two years now, President Biden and Congressional Democrats have waged a war on American energy, and families and workers across the country are paying the price. Gas and utility costs have skyrocketed to record highs, with the average American paying over 40 percent more for their gas since President Biden took office.
I am proud to announce that I will be introducing our H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, to cut red tape and increase energy production here at home to lower energy costs. Importantly, this bill also includes the BREEZE Act which will increase the revenue our state receives from oil and gas exploration and production in the Gulf. This will give Louisiana millions more to restore our coast and provide stronger flood protection for our communities.
