Right now, civilians are being caught in the crossfire of the war, often unable to escape. Missiles and drones have targeted apartment buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and civilian infrastructure, causing disruptions to water, electricity, and heat during the harsh winter months. Humanitarian organizations, including Mercy Corps, must be able to reach the millions of civilians who are at the frontlines of the war. Yet, safe and unhindered humanitarian access continues to be denied. Today we’re asking you to sign a petition calling on the U.S. Congress to use every diplomatic resource available to uphold international humanitarian law for the protection of civilians and ensure humanitarian access across Ukraine.
