Republicans have made it clear that they don’t care about reproductive rights.

Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, legislatures across the country have moved to further restrict reproductive rights — from restricting access to birth control to even criminalizing abortion in some cases.

I ran for office to carry on the work I’ve pursued in my time as a public servant: to represent underrepresented communities. That includes improving access to abortion and closing the healthcare coverage gap, which disproportionately impacts Black and Brown communities.
