This week in Congress, I helped pass meaningful legislation to expand services and resources for our nation’s veterans.

These bills make necessary reforms to ensure members of the Armed Forces are reimbursed for educational expenses, improve insurance eligibility access, streamline veteran health services, and modernize medical waste treatment systems.

Thank you to New Hampshire's Veterans of Foreign Wars for meeting with me this week.

The brave men and women of our Armed Forces make tremendous sacrifices in defense of our nation and our freedoms. I was proud to vote for legislation to modernize and streamline the services and programs our veterans need to thrive. 

I will always advocate for those who fought for us.

Everyone deserves access to affordable, high-speed internet, regardless of where they live.

This week in the Energy and Commerce Committee, I advanced my legislation to modernize our country’s wireless and broadband infrastructure to close the digital divide and ensure America remains competitive in the global market.

From promoting American global leadership to directing government agencies to keep pace with wireless technology growth, these bills will help the U.S. remain at the forefront of innovation.

I'll continue working to strengthen our economy and deliver for our rural communities.

New Hampshire’s law enforcement officers go above and beyond the call of duty every day to protect our communities — we must ensure they have the resources to do their jobs safely. 

This week, I was proud to host a workshop with Congressman Chris Pappas for local police departments to connect them with federal grants and funding opportunities. The workshop connected New Hampshire law enforcement officials and departments with the Justice Department's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) and Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). 

I look forward to seeing the new projects and proposals from this event!

I will continue working across the aisle to end the addiction and mental health crisis in New Hampshire.

The Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force – which I am proud to co-chair – welcomed its fourth co-chair this week, Representative Lisa McClain (MI-09)!

Our Task Force is made stronger by having leadership from both sides of the aisle and all across the country. Addiction does not care about your politics or zip code, nor should our approach to addressing it. 

Our task force is comprised of more than 130 Members working across the aisle to combat American communities' mental health and substance use disorder epidemics.

We must employ every tool at our disposal to combat the fentanyl crisis.

Help is available for those in need. The New Hampshire Harm Reduction Coalition operates weekly harm reduction and street outreach programs in Concord, Manchester, Rochester, Dover, and Somersworth. 

The van is equipped with vital overdose prevention supplies: naloxone, fentanyl test strips, kits for the prevention of wounds and infection transmission, as well as syringe disposal options, all free of charge.

As a co-chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force, I’ll continue working to provide affordable and accessible services to those in need.

March 8th was International Women’s Day!

International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on the progress we have made toward equality and the work that lies ahead.

From efforts restricting women and girls' access to education to criminalizing reproductive care, there are challenges facing women’s rights across the world. But, together, we will prevail.

I will never stop fighting to build a brighter, more equitable future for all.
