John —

[ [link removed] ]In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to donate $3 to our Justice
Democrat candidate end of month goal — but first, give me a chance to
explain the importance of this existential struggle for the soul of the
Democratic Party.

Last night’s debate made one thing clear: progressives ideas are at the
center of gravity in the Democratic Party. Every candidate is being
defined by their stance on Medicare-for-All, the Green New Deal, a wealth
tax, reparations, and protecting the rights of immigrant Americans.

Those progressive ideals were wholeheartedly backed by Bernie Sanders and
Elizabeth Warren — who disappointed pundits and the moderators by refusing
to attack each other. That responsibility then fell to the fringe
centrists on the stage — who used every opportunity to desperately defend
an agenda that has repeatedly failed the American people.

Those same corporate centrists have derided Medicare for All and a Green
New Deal as unrealistic solutions. Here’s what’s actually unrealistic —
engaging in yet another moderate half measure to provide health care or
saving our planet and hoping it’ll work out. It won’t.

Universal health care in 15 years means thousands of people continue to
die every year due to lack of care, and 15 years for insurance companies
with dark money war chests to stop that change. A Green New Deal that
doesn’t move fast enough will means millions of climate refugees, powerful
climate disasters with shockingly higher death counts, and cover for
fossil fuel companies to undermine our progress with their blood money.

We can’t afford their moderation. But the centrist politicians on stage
last night are doing everything in their power to block progressive
change, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Congress is full of
politicians exactly like this — people who fund their campaign with
$100,000s from lobbyists and corporations, and who have even less
accountability than John Delaney.

The sun is setting on that era. Every day, our team is scouring the nation
— reaching out to community leaders, immigration rights lawyers, middle
school principals, political organizers, and a brand new generation of
leaders who are willing to stand up for the progressive change our nation
needs.

[ [link removed] ]But those powerful new leaders cannot overcome these massive corporate
war chests without your support. Can you donate whatever you can spare —
from $5 to $10 to $27 — to win this battle for the soul of the Democratic
Party?

Sometimes, it’s hard to keep up the fight for a future that seems far
away, or for a battle where the odds seem stacked against us. But in just
one cycle, we’ve elected a slate of powerful champions — from Ayanna
Pressley to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — who have already captured the
attention of an entire nation.

Now, as you consider donating to support our efforts, imagine an America
with a Congress full of new leaders exactly like that — fighting for
social, racial, economic, and environmental justice for all.

Three years ago, that may have been a dream. But last night, our vision
took center stage— we saw progressives representing a Democratic Party of
‘Yes, we can’ and the soft center saying, ‘No we can’t.’ Sanders and
Warren aren’t making decisions based in fear of what Trump and the
Republican Party will say.

They are coming from a position of strength by putting forward solutions
as big as the problems we face and naming their enemy: Trump and his
friends in the ruling class who are seeking to divide and conquer America.
But we see through their scheme, and we’re going to stop them.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
