Fellow Conservative,

None of the work that Heritage Action does would be possible without you, the grassroots. Representatives will listen to the voice of their constituents if they are loud enough, persistent enough, and focused enough. Heritage Action grassroots activists and Sentinels have shown when you speak, elected officials listen.
State Updates
Grassroots activists and Sentinels have been working hard to bring about conservative change in their states. This week, there are numerous victories to show for all the hard work.

Tennessee - Governor Bill Lee signed SB 1 <[link removed]> into law last Friday. This bill protects children from cross-sex hormones and experimental, life-altering operations that remove or permanently alter health body parts.

Arkansas - Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed SB 294. a.k.a the LEARNS Act <[link removed]>, into law this Wednesday. The new Arkansas Children’s Educational Freedom Account Program makes Arkansas the 11th state in the union to adopt a form of educational savings accounts (ESA).

ESA are savings accounts through which the state funds private accounts that parents can use to pay for education products and services that best fit their child’s educational needs.

Georgia - Georgia’s Education Freedom bill, SB 233 <[link removed]>, successfully passed the Georgia Senate and now moves into the House for committee hearings. If passed, this would create education savings accounts throughout the state of Georgia.

Kentucky - HB 236 <[link removed]> passed the Kentucky house and if it becomes law, would push back against the ESG movement by protecting retirement funds from being politically weaponized by radical woke investors.

Victory for Free Speech
Last month, Heritage Action alerted you to Biden’s nomination of the radical Gigi Sohn to be one of the five commissioners of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which is an independent federal agency that regulates communications across the country including radio, TV, satellite, and cable.

In the past, Gigi Sohn has:

- Openly called major conservative outlets like Fox News “state-sponsored propaganda <[link removed]>”
- Advocated for Sinclair to have its broadcast license revoked
- Publicly supported the Defund the Police movement
- Accused conservatives of voter suppression

And the list goes on.

But thanks to the efforts of Heritage Action and other groups who signed a letter opposing Sohn’s nomination <[link removed]>, Gigi Sohn has withdrawn her nomination.
While this story may not have received much national attention, victories such as this go a long way to maintaining our freedoms in this country. If Gigi Sohn were to have taken a seat on the FCC, she would be the tie breaking vote that turns the FCC into another censorious government agency.

Heritage Action remains committed to opposing those who oppose free speech principles, and will always fight to keep them out of power.
In the News
Executive Director of Heritage Action, Jessica Anderson took to the airwaves this week to attack the Left for their blatant hypocrisy on women’s rights. The Left claims to care about women and yet advocate for men who pretend to be women to compete in women’s sports.
>>>Check out Jessica’s EWTN interview<<< <[link removed]>
Jessica also appeared on Andrew Wilkow’s show to talk about The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (S. 613 / H.R. 734). This bill was introduced by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) and Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) and would make it a federal crime under Title IX for anyone who receives federal funds to allow men to compete in women’s sports.

Heritage Action keeps a running scorecard that scores federal senators and representatives based on how they vote on key legislation.

Heritage Action has key voted the cosponsorship of this bill, meaning that any representative who adds their name as a cosponsor to protect women’s sports will receive a boost in points on their scorecard.

As mentioned before, these victores would not be possible without you. Thank you for your continued engagement. There are many more battles that need to be won and we look forward to working closely with you to make sure that they are.

Join the fight to advance the conservative agenda.
