Hi Friend, Spring is a time for growth and change, and as the days grow longer and I start (trying) to tidy up my house, No Labels is blossoming in an incredible way. Every day, more folks like you are taking a good, hard look at the partisanship running rampant in American politics and saying: “There has to be a better way.” They’re hearing about No Labels from friends, family, and citizens like you. And every day, our movement grows as they sign up to support our efforts to put country over party. It’s all so exciting for me and the rest of our team, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. We’re turning heads right now, and one aspect of our work that’s drawing a lot of attention is our effort to provide an option to nominate an independent presidential candidate in 2024 to give voters another choice at the ballot box should they not like the two parties’ nominees. Our work to get ballot access nationwide ahead of the election is really unprecedented in the history of our democracy. But we truly believe it’s necessary right now. There are millions of Americans who are fed up with our politicians and are pessimistic about the future of the country. We’ve asked tens of thousands of people across the country for their thoughts on the best path forward for our democracy, and there’s a real interest right now among Republicans, Democrats, and independents for another option for president besides what the two parties may deliver next year. It’s important to remember that nothing’s set in stone. Political conditions could change between now and the election, and if it becomes clear that voters no longer want an independent ticket, that’s totally fine by us – we have no interest in supporting a presidential candidate no one is asking for. We’ll just redouble the work we’ve been doing for over a decade to build a bipartisan governing coalition in Congress and cheer for our democracy along with everyone else. But right now, millions of people would like to see a presidential candidate who’s not beholden to the extremes of one party or another, and instead listens to the common sense majority of Americans. Until our commonsense majority has a seat at the table, we’re going to keep up the work, and that’s why your support is so essential. If you’d like to join the common sense majority as we work to build this nation up and prevent the extremes from tearing it down, please consider reaching out to us or even donating to No Labels 2024. Your support means the world to us. Thanks so much for all you do. Margaret White Co-executive Director |
