Congressman Kim Reintroduces Bill to Ban Government Officials From Owning and Trading Individual Stocks, Setting Single Standard Across Government
This week, Congressman Kim re-introduced his Restoring Trust in Public Servants Act, a bill that would set one standard across all three branches of the federal government – including Congress, the President, Vice President, and the Supreme Court– to prohibit ownership of individual stocks.
The bill would set a standard across the entire government to ensure public servants, especially those at the highest levels, give the American people the undivided attention and loyalty they deserve. Read more about the legislation here.
Congressman Kim shared why he reintroduced this legislation and why he thinks this legislation is important to restoring Americans’ faith in government.
Celebrating International Women’s Day and Working to Defend Women’s Rights
Wednesday was International Women’s Day, an opportunity to celebrate the strength and power of women in our daily lives and across the world.
A big part of this day is highlighting the importance of our work standing up for women’s rights. To turn the conversation into action, Congressman Kim is proud to support the reintroduction of the Paycheck Fairness Act to help end the gender pay gap once and for all.
Congressman Kim Speaks with Visiting Groups in Washington!
It was a packed full week of meetings in our Capitol Hill office. Congressman Kim and our staff enjoyed speaking with groups about initiatives important to our community, including healthcare access with the American Dental Association and the New Jersey Primary Care Association, volunteerism with the Red Cross, and supporting veterans with the NJ VFW.
