Friend,
I'm writing to you today to share the exciting news that People For has
endorsed Janet Protasiewicz in the Wisconsin State Supreme Court election.
As you know, the Wisconsin State Supreme Court plays a critical role in
interpreting the state's laws and protecting the rights of its citizens.
It is essential that there are fair and impartial judges who will protect
our democracy and promote justice for all. Janet Protasiewicz is exactly
the kind of judge that's needed on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.
Janet Protasiewicz has served as a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge
for over a decade, and during that time, she has demonstrated a deep
understanding of and commitment to legal protections for workers and
voters and all those in need of access to quality healthcare. Her
commitment also extends to other issues championed by People For,
including criminal justice reform, and equal protection under the law.
But make no mistake – this election is not a given. The conservative
opposition is already mobilizing volunteers and raising MILLIONS of
dollars to defeat Janet and elect Dan Kelly – a former Wisconsin Supreme
Court Justice who touts his endorsements from organizations seeking to ban
abortion in the state, called same-sex marriage unconstitutional, has
likened Social Security and affirmative action to slavery, and offered
legal support to the proponents of the “fake elector” plot to overturn the
2020 election.
If progressives lose this election, we can expect to see more attacks on
voting rights, more attempts to undermine reproductive freedoms, more
erosion of worker protections, and more favoritism for corporate interests
over the needs of everyday people.
That's why I'm urging you to take action today. We need your help to get
out the vote and ensure that progressive voices are heard in this
election.

In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to voters across the state to
ensure that they understand the stakes of this election and why it's so
important that we elect Janet Protasiewicz to the Wisconsin State Supreme
Court. We need your help to make sure that every progressive voter in
Wisconsin is heard.
So please, take action today and join us in fighting for a brighter future
for Wisconsin. Together, we can protect our democracy, promote justice,
and defend our values.
Thanks for all that you do,
Zach, People For the American Way
