This could be a disaster for America’s beloved public lands, which include some of the most beautiful terrain in North America, support iconic and threatened wildlife, and provide an opportunity for every citizen to experience and learn about our natural world. The sale of public lands to oil and gas companies will lead to polluted water resources, the destruction of sacred indigenous sites, and irreparable damage to wildlife habitat that needs to be permanently protected.
