As the Chief Administrative Officer of Ground Game Texas, I am writing to share my deep passion for the vital work of our organization. It has been almost a year since I joined this incredible team, and every day I am inspired by the dedication of our staff and volunteers to transforming power dynamics for underrepresented communities in Texas.

As a biracial Texan, I have experienced both privilege and the challenges of being part of a culture that is often seen as second-class. This has given me a unique perspective that shapes my outlook with both hope and a deep understanding of the challenges our community faces. At Ground Game Texas, we are dedicated to addressing critical issues that disproportionately affect low-income communities and communities of color, such as climate justice, criminal justice reform, and workers' wages. We believe that all Texans deserve to live in safe, healthy, and sustainable communities, and we are working tirelessly to advance policies that support these goals.

Our advocacy work includes:

• Climate Justice: We are advocating for policies that address the disproportionate impact of climate change on low-income and communities of color, and that support the transition to a clean energy economy.
• Criminal Justice Reform: We are working to advance policies that address the root causes of mass incarceration, such as the criminalization of marijuana, and to advocate for reforms that promote police accountability, including banning choke holds and no-knock warrants.
• Workers' Wages: We are advocating for policies that increase the minimum wage and ensure that all workers have access to a livable wage within their communities.

We deeply value individuals like you who share our commitment to justice and equity. As we continue to work towards shifting power dynamics in Texas, we are seeking your support to help us achieve our goals. Thanks to the dedication of our team and the support of individuals like you, we were able to reach over 150,000 people in person, over 400,000 through digital outreach, and send 90,000 mailers to Texans.

As a result, we were able to engage 130,000 voters who typically don't participate in elections, but who showed up to vote on reforms that directly impact their daily lives.
