Who should get more money & resources? 🤔Our communities, for things like housing, education, and a path to citizenship, or ICE, for things like immigration enforcement, surveillance, and deportations?

It’s simple, when our communities receive the resources we need, we can live safe and dignified lives. When ICE gets resources, our undocumented loved ones are at risk of detention & deportation. Yesterday, President Biden chose ICE & CBP over the safety of our communities yet again when he released his 2024 federal budget priorities:

• $25B for ICE & CBP (an $800M increase from this year!)

• $4.7B for DHS

• Hiring more Border Patrol agents & investing in border surveillance

This announcement kicks off a process for drafting a spending bill created by Congress. They must choose to invest in our communities and NOT in the deportation force! When this Administration gives more money to ICE, more people like Uche will be put at risk of detention & deportation. Will you join us in action to demand they invest in us?
