This is the second state CBDC bill a Freedom Caucus has stopped

We just had a major victory in South Dakota that has broad nationwide implications.

Governor Kristi Noem announced, after pressure from the South Dakota Freedom Caucus, that she would VETO a bill that would create a framework in the state for a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

The push for CBDCs is the biggest attack on financial freedom that our country has ever seen. Imagine being forced to have a bank account directly with the Federal Reserve rather than a commercial bank like Wells Fargo or Bank of America. The government would see all of your transactions and even block those it disagrees with. Trying to buy a gun to protect yourself? Not if the government sees you as a threat. Want to have an abortion? The government will be all for it.

Yet, the bill sailed through the RINO-polluted GOP majorities in the South Dakota House and Senate despite fierce opposition from the SD Freedom Caucus. Rather than move onto another issue, the SDFC went into overdrive to convince Governor Kristi Noem to veto the bill. Glenn Beck amplified the issue by having a SD Freedom Caucus member on his show and we alerted outside groups that put the pressure on to urge a veto.

Thankfully, Noem came through.

But this is nowhere close to being near the end. Supporters of the legislation are proposing it in all 50 states.

Thankfully, just this week, the Arizona Freedom Caucus blocked the CBDC bill because the State Freedom Caucus Network alerted them about what happened in South Dakota and efforts are underway to kill this bill in all 50 states.

All across the country, “Republican” leaders have shown that they are more than happy to sign away your financial freedom but state freedom caucuses stand ready to defend your rights.
