Everyone should have access to safe reproductive health care. That’s why the Moore-Miller Administration is fighting back against far-right attacks on reproductive rights across the country by making Maryland a safe haven for abortion and choice.

Last month, Wes joined 20 other governors to form the Reproductive Freedom Alliance, a first of its kind, multi-state coalition committed to protecting and expanding reproductive care.

Wes and I are proud to also stand together with Maryland House Speaker Adrienne Jones and Senate President Bill Ferguson in support of a historic legislative package designed to defend choice and expand abortion access in Maryland.

If passed, these four bills will:

- Establish a constitutional amendment to enshrine the right to abortion in Maryland’s Constitution;

- Protect patients, providers, and people supporting out-of-state patients seeking reproductive health care in Maryland from criminal, civil, and administrative actions from restrictive states;

- Require Maryland’s public higher education institutions to develop reproductive health access plans to provide or refer for the full range of reproductive health, including 24-hour access to contraceptives;

- Protect the private medical information and reproductive health records of in-state and out-of-state patients.
