Friend --
On March 8, the Congress voted 321-103 against H.Con Res. 21,
introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz to restore the Constitutionally mandated
role of the Congress in declaring war, in this case demanding the
removal of all American troops from Syria. While the bill should have
passed overwhelmingly, if our representatives cared to uphold the U.S.
Constitution, it nonetheless indicates an important break in the
typical herd instinct, with 47 Republicans and 56 Democrats supporting
the Gaetz initiative.? Angela McCardle, Libertarian National Committee
Chairwoman and co-convener of the Rage Against War DC rally, at which
I spoke, has called for a national mobilization to target the pro-war
reps and either get them to change or recruit qualified candidates to
unseat them.? See below for how the New York Congressional delegation
voted.
Tonight's Symposium will feature a fascinating interview conducted
by myself and Jason Ross with Dr. Sergey Pulinets, Academician of the
Russian Academy of Sciences, Principal Research Scientist of the Space
Research Institute in Moscow.? Dr. Pulinets is an expert on earthquake
precursors,? which could be used to reliably forecast powerful quakes
in time to save thousands of lives.? Had this science been pursued,
over 50,000 people in Turkiye and Syria would still be alive.? *As
always, participation in the Symposium does not constitute endorsement
of any political campaign or candidacy, but is for the purpose of
educating the audience on matters of crucial importance.
