â ď¸ A52 Derby Road - the westbound lane (leaving the city) between QMC and the Priory roundabout is closed until early April. The eastbound lane (heading towards the city) remains open and a diversion route is signposted. Buses including the 35, 36, Indigo and Medilink are affected
â ď¸ Cadent are also replacing gas mains across Sherwood, Bulwell, Bulwell Forest, Bestwood and Mapperley from now until summer 2023.
Linking up City Centre Cycling Routesđ˛
đ´ââď¸ Works continue at the Station Street/London Road junction on the latest phase of our City Centre Cycle routes, linking the east and west of the city with safe segregated cycling infrastructure.
Various, mainly off-peak lane closures will be required throughout the project as we complete the project to join the segregated cycleways nearby and install marked on road cycle lanes through the junction, improve pedestrian crossing facilities and more.Â

We're making improvements to the University Boulevard shared use path
From today (Friday 10 March), we'll be doing some works on the Uni Boulevard shared use path that we expect to take around a week - as you can see from the picture, there are sections that need to be renewed for a more safe and comfortable journey.Â
Users will be safely diverted via already existing crossings to use the westbound shared use path during the works.

Pedal Party is a FREE, safe, and fun event for the whole family to enjoy cycling!
British Cycling will be running Pedal Parties on the last Sunday of each month March - October at Harvey Hadden 11am-1pm đ˛
Ridewise will be bringing along their adaptive bikes and Nottingham Bikeworks will be running a Dr Bike if your bike needs looking at!Â

Bulwell Bus Station works reach new milestone

The Transforming Cities funded makeover of Bulwell Bus Station continues apace with a new milestone reached this week as the roofs of the new bus shelters were lifted into place.Â
The finished new Bus Station is expected to open towards the end of April. Read more about the changes

East Midlands Railways Strike Action Thursday 16 March
Thursday 16 March â Strike Day EMR services will operate between 0730 and 1830 only.
EMR Intercity
- One Train Per Hour between Nottingham and London St Pancras
- One Train Per Hour between Sheffield and London St Pancras
EMR Connect
- One Train Per Hour between Corby and London St Pancras
EMR Regional
- One Train per Hour between Derby and Matlock
- One Train per Hour between Derby and Nottingham
- One Train per Hour between Sheffield and Nottingham
- One Train per Hour between Leicester and Nottingham (Stopping Service)
- One Train per Hour between Mansfield Woodhouse and Nottingham
All other lines of route will be closed, and no Rail Replacement Bus services will be provided.
Online journey planners will be updated on Friday 10 March.
Passengers are advised to only travel by rail if absolutely necessary and if they do travel, to expect severe disruption.
Strike action will affect other routes across the country with very limited services running on the rail network. Therefore passengers travelling are advised to check their full journey before setting off.

Services across the EMR network will start later and passengers are advised to check before they travel.

Changes to the Nottingham-Sheffield Northern Rail service
From Monday 13 March - Friday 17 March, the 23:18 service from Nottingham-Sheffield will not call at Dronfield. Up-to-date timetables for the current service can be found at: www.northernrailway.co.uk/timetables
Changes for passengers during Birmingham New Street platform work affecting travellers from Nottingham from 2 April
Improvements to the roof of the station mean some changes to train times and services arriving and departing from different platforms than usual.
Passengers are being given advanced notice of the alterations - particularly those travelling on CrossCountry services between the East and West Midlands.
People are advised to plan their journeys in advance by visiting www.nationalrail.co.uk.
