Folks,

Tonight, Glenn Youngkin is set to take the stage on CNN, sitting down for an “Education Town Hall.” Virginians know firsthand the impact of Governor Youngkin’s failed education policies, and the political points he has attempted to score at the expense of our public education system.

Youngkin centered his 2021 campaign around the “threat” of culture war boogie men, like Critical Race Theory, ran campaign ads featuring people who have called for banning books, and fomented anger directed towards autonomous school boards around the Commonwealth — anger that would eventually turn violent in some areas of the country.

Glenn Youngkin has made these policies the heart of his education agenda. From promoting legislation that actively endangers Transgender students, to calling on his Department of Education to review AP African American Studies, and defunding public education, Glenn Youngkin’s education policies serve only one purpose: scoring the governor political points for a potential White House run in 2024.

Virginians know that the future of public education is in danger in the Commonwealth. Glenn Youngkin’s agenda does not put Virginia’s students first. Instead, it denies children safe spaces, obstructs the right to confidentiality, and deprives students of essential educational resources.

Let’s stand with Virginia’s parents, teachers, and students. Will you keep extremism out of our public education system and protect our public schools? [[link removed]]
