Facial recognition technology is fundamentally flawed, systemically biased, and it has no place in our society.
Facial recognition technology is fundamentally flawed, systemically biased, and disproportionately targets Black and brown communities that are already over-surveilled and over-policed.
That’s why this week, I joined my colleagues, Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Rashida Tlaib and Senators Ed Markey, Jeff Merkley, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Ron Wyden, in reintroducing urgent legislation to ban government use of biometric surveillance systems, including facial recognition technology.
No government should be using faulty technology that perpetuates injustice.
Will you add your name in support of my legislation to ban the government from using biometric surveillance technology?
