Hundreds of AFGE members from across the country gathered in Washington for our annual legislative conference in February, where we were joined by lawmakers and allies who share our goals of improving pay and working conditions for the 750,000 federal and DC government employees we represent.
The theme of this year’s conference was “AFGE Rising: Building Our Power By Raising Our Voices.” This issue of the Government Standard highlights the many battles we have won on behalf of our members by doing just that – raising our collective voices – and previews the fights that lie ahead.
