Folks, I’ve got a rare 15 minutes of free time in my schedule today, and I’m reflecting on how far we’ve come since my first run for Congress in 2018.

Back then, I was the underdog. A political newcomer taking on an entrenched incumbent in a district that hadn’t elected a Democrat since Richard Nixon was in office. Fat chance.

Most folks had low expectations, but politely wished me luck.

And then, we proved them wrong – defeating Peter Roskam by a healthy margin. With your grassroots support, I became the very first Democrat in my lifetime to flip IL-06 blue.

Well, folks, once again, the odds are stacked against us winning back control of Congress in 2024. But this team knows how to beat the odds.

It’s going to take a lot of hard work, and yes, some $$ too. And with our first FEC fundraising deadline of 2023 just a few weeks away, I need your help to make it count.
