Dear John,
Want real systemic change?! No more tinkering around the edges. No more tiny tweaks to the tax code.
No more half-hearted reforms. No more doing things small.
As I discuss with Solana Rice, Co-founder of Liberation in a Generation Action, we simply don’t have the time. The problems we are facing are too big. Therefore we must think big -- now.
Solana is a researcher and policy advocate who also serves alongside Jeremie Greer as co-executive director of Liberation in a Generation Action -- a nonprofit dedicated to tackling the racial wealth gap in America and building economic power for people of color.
She is a frequent collaborator with Inequality Media Civic Action and I was thrilled to sit down with her for another informative, inspiring conversation.
During our chat we covered numerous important topics, like how do the best organizers build relationships? What do we have to do to actually change the system? And how do we organize around hope?
While the problems facing our nation seem insurmountable, the work of Solana and countless other activists make me feel hopeful for the future. After watching our video, I hope you’ll feel the same.
Please take a moment to follow Solana Rice to learn more about the important work being done by Liberation in a Generation Action.
Thanks for watching,
Robert Reich
