I’m writing today to ask you to join me as a Citizen Co-Sponsor of the Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax Act.

This bill, which I’m proud to co-sponsor alongside a group of my colleagues including Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Raphael Warnock, will return Big Oil’s excessive profits back to the American people after a year in which the five largest oil and gas companies made an obscene $264.3 BILLION in profits.

Big Oil corporations like BP, Shell, and Exxon Mobil racked up massive profits and authorized billions of dollars of stock buybacks — at the expense of hardworking Americans who were squeezed at the pump to finance their greed.

That is unacceptable.

So I’m co-sponsoring the Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax Act to stop their profiteering and send quarterly rebates that would put money back in Americans' pockets.
