Protecting Life in the Department of Defense

As a staunch defender of life, Congressman Chip Roy and I introduced legislation to prohibit the Department of Defense (DoD) from funding abortion services. My legislation will repeal the DoD’s memorandum that established these policies and prohibit DoD from executing its plan to use taxpayer funds to financially and materially aid in the travel of military personnel to procure an abortion.

The DoD's primary purpose is to protect our national security interests and defend against our enemies; it has no business using taxpayer dollars to contribute to the death of the unborn. Congress and the American people have spoken loud and clear - taxpayer dollars should never fund abortion.

Asking the Real Questions on the Coronavirus Pandemic

Last week, The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic met to examine COVID-19 policy decisions and protocols put in place by health officials to keep us "safe." My colleagues and I on the Select Subcommittee are determined to shed light on the misguided, questionable, and ineffective decisions made throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Below are some questions I had for Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association. He continues to adamantly support mass vaccination regardless of age, regardless of whether or not the individual has comorbidities or risk factors, and irrespective of whether or not an individual already has natural immunity. As a physician, this mindless approach, and the fact that he and other public health "experts" are advocating for required vaccination of children as young as 6 months old is deeply disturbing.   

Fighting for Family Values

It was an honor to receive the True Blue Award from Family Research Council Action. Faith, Family, and Freedom are the foundation that makes this country so great, and I will never stop fighting for these core values! Our work has just begun!   

Munich Security Conference and NATO Parliamentary Assembly

In February, I joined a Congressional Delegation to Germany for the Munich Security Conference, a critical annual gathering of world leaders, policymakers, and experts who meet to address the most pressing security challenges facing our country and our allies.
 
I also had the privilege of traveling to Brussels, where I participated in discussions about critical matters of national security interests that are shaping our future here in America. One of these pressing concerns was China's escalating aggression towards the US, which threatens to upset the balance of power in the world.
 
Additionally, we discussed the devastating war in Ukraine. This conflict has left countless lives in turmoil, and it was important for Texas' 13th Congressional District to be part of these conversations that could potentially lead to resolution and a lasting peace.

Joe Biden's health is rapidly declining at an obvious rate, and this week his blunders hit a new low. While speaking in Virginia Beach, Joe Biden made eyebrow-raising comments to nurses in the crowd. If this was said by any other president, they would face unbelievable criticism and have to apologize immediately. Biden is a disaster - he needs a cognitive test now!
