We’ve spent the past two weeks publishing hard-hitting investigations and taking action on key issues to protect our democracy, and we wanted to keep you in the know.

- We confirmed that Donald Trump made millions in income from Indonesian business interests while president in a new analysis of Trump’s taxes.

- We sent a letter to Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy demanding that he either retrieve the 44,000 hours of video footage from January 6, 2021 that he provided to Tucker Carlson (without consulting his colleagues or national security experts) or make the footage public. Now that Carlson has started airing selections of the footage in an attempt to downplay the insurrection, releasing all the video footage to the public is even more crucial.

- We sent Congress a letter strongly urging members to reject legislation limiting federal employees’ free speech, which builds on our work condemning Congress’s other attacks on federal employees this year.

- We saw CREW Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel Donald Sherman in The Huffington Post laying out the case for a removal of Trump-era appointees, like Ginni Thomas and Louis DeJoy, who took actions that undermined the 2020 election, yet still remain in their positions.
