Friend, it’s been 50 years!
That’s half a century of endorsed candidates winning elections, priority bills signed into law, Environmental Scorecards holding legislators accountable, and game-changing partnerships with pro-environment coalitions, policymakers, and volunteers.
EnviroVoters’ impact and legacy span from its founding in 1972 to passing the most aggressive climate package in history in 2022. Check out our our timeline to see 50 years of history → [link removed]

Over the last 50 years, our mission has been to build the political power to solve the climate crisis, use these investments and policies to advance justice, and create the global roadmap for action.
And friend, we won’t stop until we have resilient, healthy, thriving communities, and a democracy and economy that is just and sustainable for all.
We continue to strive for a future that addresses the root causes of the climate crisis, advances equity to prevent further harm, and repairs the damage already done through decades of climate inaction.
To kick off our 50th year of environmental leadership, we are coming off of California and Washington, D.C. having their biggest year of climate action ever. We have seen firsthand that our model of electing climate justice champions, holding politicians accountable, passing and implementing climate justice policy solutions, and building civic engagement works.
But the state’s most ambitious effort to combat the climate crisis in 2022 is not enough.
EnviroVoters has pushed California to earn a reputation for progressive environmental policy, yet our state is not moving at the pace science says we must in order to avoid the worst impacts of the climate crisis by 2030.
We don’t have another 50 years to wait for incremental climate solutions. It’s time to act bold and act big. It’s now or never.
As we celebrate our 50th year as an organization, please take a look at our last half decade of environmental leadership, impact, and partnership — and double down on focusing the next seven years to solve the climate crisis by 2030 → [link removed]
Thank you for being an important part of our movement.
