For decades I’ve worked in logistics. Systems, strategies, ways of moving things and doing things.

You get good at figuring out what works … and what doesn’t.

When you find something that works, you keep doing that thing.

But if you find something that doesn’t work, you stop doing that thing. Then you assess the problem. You fix it. And continue on a better path.

At least, that’s what’s supposed to happen.

But as a Democratic nominee, I had a front-row seat to our system of running and supporting Democrats in America. You don’t need me to tell you that system is broken.

In 2022, 23 Congressional races didn’t even have a Democrat on the ballot.

In over 100 more, the Democratic nominee was underfunded and unsupported. The Republicans running in those districts get free passes – and get more and more extreme.

And those same Republicans are now running committees and setting policy for the whole country.

This wasn’t just in 2022. The same thing happened in 2020, and 2018. 

This isn’t a broken cycle. It’s a broken system and it's getting worse.

You don’t have to be a logistics expert to see that failing to fight everywhere is a real problem.

And if we don’t find and fund and support people to run against these radical Republicans, things will only get worse.

Now it’s time to fix it.

That’s what we’re doing with Mission Democracy – which will fund, support and target Democratic Congressional campaigns across the country.

We will power efforts to recruit, train, and support Democratic nominees … and make sure they have funds to run their campaign.

But that’s not all we’re doing. Mission Democracy is creating a community of people like you – the Forgotten Democrats community – that will be the engine of change. It’s a coalition of people who are sick and tired of seeing people left behind, and want to be part of the community that fixes it. 

Our system of running and supporting Democrats is broken. 

Let’s fix it together.
