Hi John,
My name is Matthew Bueltel and I am this spring’s finance intern for the Minnesota DFL. I am a senior at the University of Minnesota finishing up my degree in political science and American Studies. Go Gophers!
I decided to intern with the DFL this spring because I am passionate about youth voter engagement and accessibility. I am so proud to be working for a party that advocates for Gen Z and to be a part of a generation that showed up all across the state and nation to prevent a red wave in 2022.
I can tell you first-hand that everyone here works incredibly hard to connect with young people – from launching the Wellstone Academy to train the next generation of Democratic organizers to building youth-focused media campaigns to engaging college campuses across Minnesota and more.
Now, interning with the fundraising team, I understand the direct connection between grassroots contributions and getting more young voters to the polls. Nora just walked me through the data from the last few days, and we’re still way behind on our donor goal for this week. That’s why I wanted to do my part to reach out to you personally today.
We still need 379 more people to donate by tomorrow night to keep our March budget on track, and according to our records, we’re still missing your support this year.
If you’re able, will you make a donation of $10, $25, $50 or whatever works for you today to help us close the gap?
Thank you,
Matthew Bueltel
